Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken soup)
1/2 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup cooked rice or pasta (optional, for serving)
Fresh parsley or chives for garnish (optional)
Preparation
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Spread the creamy mixture evenly into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish.
Place the raw chicken breasts directly on top of the creamy layer, spacing them evenly.
If using, sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken for a melty topping.
Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the top is golden.
Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
