Maple BBQ Chicken

Introduction
Maple BBQ Chicken is a delicious recipe that perfectly combines the sweetness of maple syrup with slightly tangy and spicy flavors.

Easy to prepare, this comforting dish is perfect for a meal with family or friends.

The creamy sauce made with ketchup, maple syrup, and cider vinegar delicately coats the chicken, creating an irresistible sweet and savory combination.

2 tbsp (30 ml) olive oil
8 chicken fillets (or 2 small chicken breasts, cut into strips)

Salt and pepper to taste
2 tbsp (30 ml) butter
3 garlic cloves, finely chopped

1/4 cup (60 ml) minced onion
1/2 cup (125 ml) ketchup
1/2 cup (125 ml) maple syrup (not imitation)

1/4 tsp (1.25 ml) dry mustard
2 tbsp (30 ml) apple cider
Salt and pepper to taste.
Heat olive oil in a skillet until very hot.

Season the chicken fillets with salt and pepper to taste and sear until golden brown.

When the chicken is cooked and lightly caramelized, remove it from the skillet and tent it with aluminum foil to keep warm.

In the same skillet, reduce heat slightly and add the butter, garlic, and onion.

Sauté for several minutes until the vegetables are slightly translucent.

Add ketchup, maple syrup, dry mustard, vinegar, salt, and pepper to taste.

Simmer for several minutes until the sauce reduces and thickens.

Return the chicken to the pan and cover generously with sauce. Serve immediately.
