Soljanka after Mother Art

Here is a recipe for solyanka Mama’s style, adapted for 2 people (although it could officially be for 4):

Ingredients:

200 g salami

200 g hunting sausage

1 large onion

3-4 pickled gherkins (as desired)

2 tbsp pickle water

1 bell pepper (red or yellow)

1 can peeled tomatoes (approx. 400 g)

1 tbsp tomato paste

750 ml vegetable or meat broth

2-3 tbsp sour cream or sour cream (for serving)

1 tbsp paprika powder (sweet)

Salt, pepper, sugar (to taste)

1-2 bay leaves

Some oil for frying

Lemon slices (optional)

Parsley (chopped, for garnish)
