Warm Apple, Cinnamon and Pecan Bake

There’s nothing quite like the scent of apples and cinnamon wafting through your home to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. This warm apple, cinnamon and pecan bake is the perfect dessert or breakfast/brunch treat for colder days, or simply when you’re in the mood for something sweet, comforting and full of flavour. The soft, sweet apples pair perfectly with the crunch of pecans and the warmth of cinnamon, all topped off with a crunchy topping.

It’s incredibly easy to make and the results are always a hit!

Ingredients:
For the Apple Filling:

6-8 medium apples (about 2.5 lbs.), peeled, cored, and sliced ​​or diced (varieties like Golden Delicious, Fuji, or Gala work well)
1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar (or white sugar)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)
1 tablespoon lemon juice (to keep the apples from turning brown and to add a hint of tartness)
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (helps thicken the apple juice)
For the Crunchy Topping:

1 cup (100g) rolled oats (fine or medium)
1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
1/2 cup (100g) brown sugar
1/2 cup (50g) coarsely chopped pecans
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter, cold and cut into small cubes
Tools Needed:
