The brine of this winter preserve is even tastier than tomatoes! Definitely worth repeating

This interesting way to preserve tomatoes for the winter will definitely please your whole family. The recipe has one special feature – a terribly tasty brine, sweet, with the aroma of herbs and tomato sourness. In general, ideal! Be sure to repeat this recipe – roll up at least 5 liter jars for the winter.

For a liter jar you will need:

Coarse rock salt – 2 tsp (no heap);
Sugar – 2 tbsp;
Acetic acid – 1 tsp;
Vegetable oil (refined) – 1 tbsp.;
Garlic – 2 cloves (large);
Onion – 0.5-1 pc (to taste);
Black peppercorns – 10-15 pcs;
Greens: basil, celery, parsley – to taste;
Plum tomatoes – about 8 pcs per liter jar.
Let’s start cooking:

1. Cut off the roots of the tomatoes and cut them in half.

2. Cut the onion into large rings, the garlic into thin slices. Also chop the greens coarsely.

3. Put onion on the bottom of a clean glass liter jar, then a good pinch of greens, then black pepper in a pot. Next, put halves of 4 tomatoes. Add onion, garlic, and greens on top again. Pour in sugar and salt. Put halves of 4 tomatoes again. You can put a couple more slices of onion and greens on top.
