Instructions

Preheat and Prep
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.

Slice Hot Dogs
Cut hot dogs into thirds or quarters and place them in the prepared dish.

Combine Sauce Mixture
In a bowl, mix together BBQ sauce, yellow mustard, and liquid smoke. Pour over the hot dogs.

Prepare Seasoning
In a separate bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and ¼ cup of brown sugar. Sprinkle this mixture over the hot dogs.

Bake
Bake for 1 hour, tossing halfway through to ensure even cooking and coating.

Caramelize
Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of brown sugar over the hot dogs.
Increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until crispy and caramelized.

Serve
