Toothpaste, apply it to cutlery: unexpected what happens after a few minutes

On the contrary, toothpastes with gel components should be avoided, as these products only risk creating further damage to our silver cutlery.

Let us obtain a clean, soft cloth, preferably microfibre or flannel. Apply toothpaste with an organic formulation to the cloth and start scrubbing the silverware, being careful not to overdo the amount.

After completing this step, we proceed to rinse the cutlery with lukewarm water and conclude the operation by drying spoons, knives and forks with another cloth, also soft and clean. When we are done, we will really find it hard to believe our eyes.

Cutlery will be as good as new thanks to the action of toothpaste
With this simple remedy, silver cutlery will have regained the shine and lustre that seemed to have disappeared over time.

Thanks to the toothpaste we will then be able to remedy oxidation, that process which makes the silverware opaque, creating those unpleasant stains we were talking about earlier. With this solution, we will see them disappear very quickly.

There is more to making silver cutlery shine again than just toothpaste. There is no shortage of alternatives, starting with white vinegar, another substance that is often used to remove all signs of time and erase stains and marks.

That’s not all, because another excellent solution is to mix water with isopropyl acid, a substance used especially in the past for household cleaning and for removing haloes and various dirt.
