This is my all-time favorite simple and easy dessert

Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta
(Creamy, elegant, only 5 ingredients!)

Ingredients (Serves 4)
2 cups heavy cream

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 vanilla bean (or 2 tsp pure vanilla extract)

2 ½ tsp powdered gelatin

3 tbsp cold water

Instructions
Bloom the gelatin:
In a small bowl, sprinkle gelatin over the cold water. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes to bloom.

Heat the cream:
In a saucepan, combine heavy cream and sugar.
Split the vanilla bean, scrape the seeds into the pan, and toss in the pod too (or add vanilla extract later).
Heat over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
