Drain the chestnuts if soaked and place them in the heated pan, cut side up.
Cover the pan with a lid and cook for about 5-10 minutes, shaking the pan occasionally to ensure they cook evenly.
The chestnuts are done when the shells are crispy and the inside is tender. You can check by poking a chestnut with a fork or knife.
5. Peel and Serve:
Remove the chestnuts from the heat and cover them with a kitchen towel for a few minutes to allow them to steam and make peeling easier.
