First, put the bacon in a pot and fry it until crispy. Then remove from the fat and set aside. Lightly fry the meat in the rendered fat.
2.Now add the ketchup and a little water (the sauce must not be too thick, otherwise it will burn). Then let everything stew over a mild heat for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, then add the onions and stew until they are still al dente.
Season with the spices and stir in the bacon shortly before serving.
Can also be prepared great in the pressure cooker.
Baguette bread or rice goes best with this.
