Overcooked party schnitzels have their own special crispy charm,

️⃣ Prepare an escalope: Season the pork escalope with salt, pepper and paprika powder. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the escalope in it until golden brown on both sides, approx. 2-3 minutes per page. The escalopes should not be fully cooked, as they will continue to steam later in the oven.
️⃣ Fry the onion and garlic: In the same pan in which you fried the escalope, add the chopped onion and garlic. Cook them over medium heat for about 2-3 minutes until soft and slightly glazed.
️⃣ Prepare the cream sauce: Add the cubed ham and cream to the pan and stir well. Let the sauce simmer over low heat for about 3-4 minutes, until it thickens slightly. Season with salt and black pepper.
️⃣ Escalade in the oven: Preheat the oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat). Place the fried escalopes in a stew form and spread the ham cream sauce evenly over the escalopes. Sprinkle generously with grated cheese.
️⃣ Bake in the oven: Place the casserole dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
️⃣ Servings: Remove the escalopes from the oven and serve straight from the oven. Side dishes such as potatoes, rice or a fresh salad go well with it
