Mushroom and Swiss Burger Foil Packets

In a bowl, mix ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into 4 equal burger patties.

3. Assemble Packets
Place each patty in the center of a foil sheet. Top with a handful of sliced mushrooms and onions (if using). Drizzle with a little olive oil or dot with a small pat of butter for extra flavor and moisture.

4. Seal the Packets
Fold the foil over the burger and mushrooms, sealing all edges tightly to form a packet.

5. Cook
Choose your method:

Grill: Medium-high heat, 10–12 minutes per side.

Oven: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 25–30 minutes.

Campfire: Place on hot coals for about 10–12 minutes per side.

6. Add Cheese
Carefully open each packet (watch for steam), place a slice of Swiss cheese over the patty, and loosely reseal. Let it sit for 2–3 minutes until melted, or return to heat briefly.

7. Serve
Serve directly in the foil for easy cleanup or transfer to buns. Great with a side of grilled veggies, chips, or potato salad.

🔄 Make It Your Way
Additions: Try adding cooked bacon, sautéed spinach, or Dijon mustard inside the foil.

Low-carb/keto: Serve without buns or over a bed of greens.

Spice it up: Add jalapeños or pepper jack cheese.
