Mixed Fried Fish: The Recipe for Preparing Fish in a Workmanlike Manner
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
1 pinch black pepper (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the fish: Clean the shrimp, removing the shell and intestinal thread. Cut the squid into rounds and the fish fillets into smaller bite-sized pieces. Pat the fish dry well with paper towels to remove excess moisture, this will help keep the fried crispy.
Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, a pinch of salt and pepper. Add a little cold water (just enough) to get a smooth batter that is not too liquid. If you prefer, you can replace the water with a light beer to get an even crispier fry.
Fry the fish: Heat plenty of oil in a deep frying pan or fryer to 180°C. Dip the fish pieces into the batter, rolling them to coat them evenly.
