Preparation: 20 minutes
Cooking: 40 minutes
Portions: 4 persons
Here are the ingredients you need and the preparation:
Ingredients:
600 g minced beef
80 g stale bread crumbs
100 g grated parmesan
3 eggs
Salt and pepper pepper to taste
200 g of mozzarella
750 ml tomato sauce
Q.s. olive oil
Origan and parsley to taste
Preparation of the Pizza-ola Meat Balls:
Prepare the bread and meat: Start by soaking the bread crumbs in a little water to soften them. Then squeeze them thoroughly to remove the excess moisture, then chop them by hand and place them in a large bowl. Add the minced beef to the same bowl, then incorporate the grated parmesan, the fresh finely chopped parsley, the eggs, as well as a pinch of salt and pepper, as you wish. Mix all these ingredients firmly by hand until a homogeneous preparation is obtained.
Rest in the refrigerator: After mixing all the ingredients well, leave the dough for the meatballs in the refrigerator for a few minutes. This step is crucial for the flavors to mix perfectly and for the texture of the pellets to be well during cooking.
Prepare the tomato sauce: While the dough is resting, prepare the tomato sauce. Pour half of the sauce into a bowl, then season generously with a dripping of olive oil, salt, pepper, and dried oregano to provide Mediterranean flavourings. Mix well so that the spices diffuse evenly into the sauce.
Form the pellets and prepare the dish: Once the rest period has elapsed, take the dough from the refrigerator. With your hands, form meatballs about twice the size of a nut. Place a little tomato sauce in a baking dish, then place the meatballs on top. Cover them with the other half of the prepared tomato sauce.
Cooking and finishing: Preheat your oven to 180oC. Place the meatballs in the meat pellets for about 20 minutes. After this cooking time, take the dish out of the oven and generously place pieces of mozzarella on each dump. Then put the dish back in the oven for another 15 minutes, until the mozzarella is melted and slightly golden.
Service: As soon as you leave the oven, serve your pizza-ola meatballs with a touch of oregano and fresh parsley. These pellets are ready to be tasted, to the delight of the gourmands.
Good luck.
