I made my mama’s recipe tonight for dinner. One bite in, I’m instantly 10 yrs old again

4-5 pork chops
1 onion, sliced
1 tomato, sliced
1/3 cup tomato sauce
1/4 cup brown vinegar
1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce
1 cup beef stock
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Optional: crushed garlic, chili flakes
Instructions:
1. In a slow cooker, layer the chops, sliced onion, and sliced tomato. (Optional: As always, browning the chops before putting into slow cooker will enhance the flavor.)
2. In a separate bowl, combine the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, brown vinegar, beef stock, brown sugar, crushed garlic (if desired), and chili flakes (if desired).
3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chops, onion, and tomato in the slow cooker.
4. Cook on high for approximately 3 hours or until chops are tender. (Note: Cook times can vary depending on slow cooker.)
5. About 30 minutes before serving, thicken the sauce by dissolving cornstarch in cold water to create a slurry. Stir slurry into slow cooker and continue cooking until the sauce thickens.
Serve the casserole chops while hot and enjoy the delicious flavors that will transport you back in time.
