Honey and Garlic Ribs

1. Prepare the ribs:
Remove the silver skin (thin skin on the bone side).

Rub the ribs thoroughly with salt, pepper, paprika, and chili flakes.

Wrap in plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight.

2. Prepare the marinade:
Combine all ingredients for the glaze in a small saucepan.

Heat gently while stirring until the honey is liquid and everything is well blended (do not let it boil).

3. Cook the ribs (two methods possible):
Oven (traditional):
Preheat oven to 150°C (top/bottom heat).

Wrap the ribs in aluminum foil or place them in a covered casserole dish.

Oven cook for approximately 2.5 hours.

Then unwrap, apply a generous amount of glaze, and let them caramelize for approximately 10–15 minutes at 220°C or using the grill function.

Grill (for BBQ fans):
Grill the ribs over indirect heat for approximately 2 hours (lid closed!).

Towards the end, brush with the glaze and caramelize over direct heat until crispy.

✅ Serving suggestions:
With coleslaw, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, or simply fresh baguette.

The remaining glaze can also be used as a dip.
