Baking Instructions
1. Mix Wet Ingredients: Combine quark, buttermilk, oil, sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon zest, and salt.
2. Combine Dry Ingredients: Mix flour with baking powder.
3. Add Flour to Dough: Add 1/3 of the flour to the dough, mix well, then add remaining flour while kneading the dough (knead only for a short time).
4. Divide Dough: Separate the dough into 5 balls (each 200g).
5. Roll and Braid: Roll each ball into strands, then braid them together.
6. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F).
7. Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes, then remove from oven.
8. Glaze and Sprinkle: Mix egg yolk, salt, and buttermilk, brush over the bread, then sprinkle with almond slices.
9. Bake Again: Bake for an additional 15-29 minutes.
10. Cool and Serve: Let cool before slicing and serving with butter, jam, cream cheese, and fresh fruit.

– Use this dough to make rolls or a loaf instead of a braid.
