1. Preheat your charcoal grill to medium heat.
2. Grill the bratwursts indirectly for 10–15 minutes (very important: do not pierce!) until they are nice and crispy.
3. If you don’t have a grill, you can also fry the bratwursts in a little oil or butter over medium heat for 8–10 minutes. Turn them frequently to ensure they are golden brown on all sides.
4. Serve the finished bratwursts in a sliced bread roll with plenty of mustard.
5. For the classic experience: Serve with a cold beer (pilsner or lager), and if you like, enjoy some sauerkraut, roasted onions, or potato salad. Enjoy!
