Ingredients:
For the burger patties:

1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend is ideal)

Salt & black pepper, to taste

1 tsp garlic powder (optional for extra garlic flavor)

For the garlic Parmesan sauce:

2 tbsp butter

3–4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tbsp all-purpose flour

1 cup heavy cream or whole milk

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (fresh is best)

Salt & pepper, to taste

For assembly:

4 burger buns (toasted)

Sliced mozzarella or provolone cheese

Lettuce, tomato, and/or caramelized onions (optional toppings)

Extra grated Parmesan for topping

Garlic butter (for toasting buns, optional)

Instructions:
Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce:

In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter.

Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant (don’t brown it).

Whisk in flour and cook for another minute.

Slowly whisk in the milk or cream, stirring constantly until it thickens (about 2–3 minutes).

Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Set aside and keep warm.

Prepare the Burgers:

Form beef into 4 equal patties. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.

Grill or pan-fry over medium-high heat, about 3–4 minutes per side or until desired doneness.

Add sliced mozzarella or provolone cheese on top and cover to melt during the last minute of cooking.

Toast the Buns (Optional):

Spread garlic butter on the cut sides of each bun and toast on a skillet or grill until golden.
