Everyone is thrilled with this! I can never make a sufficient amount!

In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
Add the yogurt, warm milk, and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let it rest for about 1 hour.
Preheat a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each into a circle about 1/4 inch thick.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese and chopped herbs over the surface of each circle.
Fold the dough over the filling and roll it out again gently.
Cook each naan on the preheated skillet for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through.
Sprinkle with coarse salt before serving.
Variations & Tips
For a spicier version, add a pinch of chili flakes to the cheese and herb mixture. You can also experiment with different cheeses like feta or gouda for a unique flavor. If you’re short on time, use store-bought pizza dough as a quick alternative. To make it vegan, substitute the yogurt with a plant-based yogurt and use vegan cheese. For a garlic twist, brush the naan with melted garlic butter before serving.
