Easy Breakfast Casserole

Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat).

Lightly grease a baking dish.

Briefly fry the onion, bell pepper, and bacon/ham in a pan (optional).

Place the bread cubes in the baking dish, then spread the sautéed vegetables and meat on top.

Whisk eggs with milk, salt, pepper, and paprika and pour over the ingredients in the dish.

Sprinkle with cheese.

Bake in the oven for about 25–30 minutes, until the casserole is golden brown and set.

Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve warm.

🔄 Tip:
It’s easy to prepare the night before and bake in the morning.

For a vegetarian version, simply omit the bacon or replace it with mushrooms, for example.
