1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
3. Add the minced garlic and diced onion to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
4. Stir in the rice, beef broth, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
5. Once simmering, transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
6. After 25 minutes, remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top, and continue baking uncovered for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
7. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
