Instructions
1. Prepare the Chicken:
Flatten chicken breasts to about 1/2 inch thick.
Season both sides with salt and dried onion flakes.
2. Wrap with Bacon:
Wrap each chicken breast with 1–2 slices of bacon.
Secure bacon ends with toothpicks if needed.
3. Cook the Chicken:
Grill or pan-fry the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts over medium heat.
Cook for 6–8 minutes per side, until the bacon is crispy and the chicken is fully cooked.
4. Prepare the Honey Mustard Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together 1/3 cup honey, 1/4 cup yellow mustard, and 2 tablespoons mayonnaise until smooth.
5. Assemble the Dish:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place the cooked chicken breasts in a baking dish.
(Optional) Sauté sliced mushrooms until golden and tender.
Layer the mushrooms over the chicken breasts.
Pour the honey mustard sauce evenly over each piece.
6. Sprinkle with Cheese:
Generously cover the chicken breasts with shredded cheese.
7. Bake to Perfection:
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly.
8. Serve and Enjoy:
Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes.
Garnish with fresh parsley or chopped green onions, if desired.
