This breakfast bowl is pretty hearty on its own, but if you’re looking to round out your meal, consider serving it with a side of fresh fruit or a simple mixed greens salad to balance the richness. Southern Style Tater Tot Sausage Breakfast Bowl with Gravy

Ingredients
1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
1 pound breakfast sausage
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 cups milk
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
4 large eggs
2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives (optional)
Directions
1. Preheat your oven according to the tater tots package instructions. Arrange the tater tots on a baking sheet and cook as directed until they are crispy and golden brown.
2. While the tater tots are baking, crumble and cook the breakfast sausage in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside, leaving the drippings in the pan.
3. To the same skillet with sausage drippings, add the flour and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the flour is lightly browned, about 2-3 minutes.
