Parents’ devastating decision – forced to unplug their 13-year-old daughter after horrific sleepover

Australian Ally Langdon couldn’t hide her anguish as she spoke with a mother and father who were forced to make the difficult choice to end the life of the toddler they gave birth to 13 years ago . Langdon, who is also a mother, tried to hold back tears as she watched the little girl die after succumbing to the chrome plating trend that had become popular.

On A Current Affair with host Ally Langdon, Andrea and Paul Haynes shared how their 13-year-old daughter, Esra Haynes, died after taking part in the dangerous chemical inhalation known as ‘chroming’ , which is popular on social networks. Esra, a young athlete who raced BMX with her siblings and was co-captain of the Montrose Football Netball Club, was described as “determined, fun, cheeky and talented” by her teammates. Esra also led her team to a national aerobics championship in Queensland. On March 31, Esra went to a friend’s house for a sleepover and, in search of a deadly high, sniffed aerosol deodorant.
