Towels that are rough to the touch: causes and consequences
One of the laundry items that you have to pay close attention to is towels. Also because if we make a mistake once dry, we will see the response on the skin! And there is nothing more unpleasant than drying yourself with a rough towel!
The skin notices it immediately and the same goes for towels that “smell damp”, something that is unpleasant and leads you to wash again and change towels.

There are certainly those who recognise themselves in this feeling, which is more frequent in winter, when disturbances make the drying process difficult, if you don’t have a dryer.
But the problem remains the rough towel that in the end, instead of hugging us, leaves our skin red. So either we get that miraculous fabric softener that costs us an arm and a leg or we look for natural alternatives if we don’t want to buy new towels.
The two-spoon method
The natural remedy to always have soft towels with their absorbent capacity intact is the use of two natural products that we have at home:
Marseille soap
baking soda.
In the production of Marseille soap there are strict manufacturing standards that require the use of only pure olive oil, salt and soda from Provence and Camargue, respectively. Any addition of animal fat to this soap is prohibited.
