Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Melt the chocolate and butter in a bain-marie, stirring regularly until smooth.
In a bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until pale and frothy.
Stir the melted chocolate mixture into the beaten eggs, then add the vanilla and salt. Mix well. Gently incorporate the flour, being careful not to overwork the dough.
Pour the mixture into a greased and floured pan.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. The cake should be soft in the center.
Let cool for a few minutes before removing from the pan. Serve warm or at room temperature with a scoop of ice cream or a spoonful of crème fraîche.
