🛒 Ingredients:
For the soup:
2 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 carrots, diced
2 celery stalks, diced
3 cups cooked shredded chicken (rotisserie works well)
4 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream (or half and half)
1 tsp dried thyme
Salt & black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
For the dumplings:
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ cup milk
2 tbsp butter, melted
For the bread bowls:
4 small round sourdough loaves (or similar crusty bread)
Optional: brush with butter and toast inside
