🍕 Tarte flambée 🥓🧅

1. Prepare the pizza dough: Roll out the pizza dough thinly on a lightly floured surface until it is rectangular. Place the dough on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
2. Sauté the onions: Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the onion rings over medium heat until soft and lightly caramelized. This takes about 5-7 minutes. Season with salt and pepper and set aside.
3. Top the tarte flambée: Spread the rolled-out dough evenly with the crème fraîche. Spread the fried onions evenly on top. Then sprinkle the bacon cubes evenly over the onions.
4. Bake: Bake the tarte flambée in a preheated oven at 220°C (top/bottom heat) for about 12-15 minutes, until the edges are golden brown and crispy.
5. Finish: Remove the tarte flambée from the oven and sprinkle with chopped chives. Season with additional salt and pepper, if desired.
6. Serve: Cut the tarte flambée into pieces and serve warm. It’s perfect as an appetizer or as a main course with a fresh salad.
